Flow Field about a Helicopter

The flow field around a helicopter is of great interest when considering the time in which the exhaust gases cool down.

The first picture results show the flow field below the helicopter and the pressure distribution on a plane through the centre plane of the geometry.

The second figure shows the exhaust gas distribution and the plume length.

Object Trajectory

This example demonstrates the capability to compute a body's trajectory as it interacts with the surrounding turbulent flow.
